Product Description

The timing belt and timing belt pulley power transmission system integrates the advantages of belt drives, chain drives, and gear drives. It consists of a timing belt with evenly spaced teeth on its inner surface and a corresponding toothed pulley. During operation, motion and power are transmitted through the meshing of the belt teeth and pulley grooves, enabling efficient power transmission and conveying functions.

Timing belt pulleys can be classified by tooth profile as follows:

  • Imperial trapezoidal teeth (MXL, XXL, XL, L, H), compliant with standards: GB/T 11361 and ISO 5294;
  • Metric trapezoidal teeth (T5, T10), compliant with standards: GB/T 28774 and ISO 17396;
  • High-torque arc teeth (S3M, S5M, S8M), compliant with standards: GB/T 24619 and ISO 13050;

Product Features

  1. Accurate power transmission with no slippage during operation, ensuring a constant transmission ratio;
  2. Smooth power transmission with buffering and vibration-damping capability, and low noise;
  3. High transmission efficiency, suitable for high-torque transmission and conveying systems;
  4. Complies with industry standards, easy maintenance, no lubrication required, and low maintenance cost;
  5. A variety of materials is available to suit different operating environments;
  6. Excellent attention to design and manufacturing details, giving customers greater confidence in selection and purchase;
  7. No oil contamination, suitable for applications requiring high cleanliness or harsh operating conditions.

How to Use

  1. Turn off the power, remove the protective cover, and loosen the motor mounting bolts. Move the motor to sufficiently release belt tension so the belt can be removed without prying. Never force the belt off.
  2. Remove the old belt and check for abnormal wear. If present, it may indicate design or maintenance issues in the power transmission system.
  3. Select a suitable replacement timing belt.
  4. Clean the timing belt and pulleys using a cloth dampened with a small amount of non-volatile liquid. Ensure the belt is dry before installation and use.
  5. Inspect the pulleys for abnormal wear or cracks. If excessive wear is found, the pulley must be replaced.
  6. Check whether the pulleys are properly aligned in a straight line. Proper alignment is critical for the operation of timing belt drive systems.
  7. Inspect other components of the power transmission system, such as bearing alignment, as well as the condition and lubrication of oil-free bushings.
  8. Install the new timing belt onto the pulleys. Never pry or apply excessive force.
  9. Adjust the center distance of the transmission system until the belt tension is appropriate as measured by a tension gauge. Rotate the driving pulley by hand several times and recheck tension.
  10. Tighten the motor mounting bolts to the specified torque, ensuring all components of the transmission system are securely fastened.
  11. Start the system and observe belt performance. Check for abnormal vibration and listen for unusual noise.

Cautions

  • Shaft holes and keyways may sometimes be supplied without surface treatment.
  • Flange production includes both stamped and machined types. These are shipped randomly and generally do not affect usage. If you have special requirements, please note them when placing the order or inform customer service.

Applications

Timing belt drives are widely used in small- and medium-power transmission applications requiring precise transmission ratios, such as automotive systems, chemical fiber production, textile machinery, tobacco machinery, papermaking, printing machinery, chemical industry, light industry, food processing, mining, metallurgy, steel manufacturing, office equipment, medical devices, communication equipment, and various precision machine tools and precision equipment.
