1. The sprocket chain drive is poor in smoothness, and there will be impact and noise when working:

2. Sprocket chain is not suitable for high-speed occasions and frequent changes in the direction of rotation.

3. Sprocket chain assembly precautions:

3.1 The cooperation between the sprocket wheel and the shaft must meet the design requirements.

3.2 The geometric center planes of the gear teeth of the active and driven sprockets shall coincide, and their offset shall not exceed the design requirements. If the design is not specified, the offset shall be less than or equal to two thousandths of the center distance between the two wheels.

3.3 When the chain engages with the sprocket, the working side must be tightened and the engagement must be smooth.

3.4 The sagging degree of the non-working side of the chain should meet the design requirements. If the design is not stipulated, it should be adjusted according to 1% to 2% of the center distance between two sprockets.

4. Notes on maintenance of sprockets:

4.1 The tightness of the sprocket wheel should be appropriate: the tightness of the sprocket wheel is about 2%-3% of the center distance of the two sprockets when lifting or pressing down from the middle of the sprocket wheel;

4.2 The sprocket wheel should be mounted on the shaft without swinging or skewing;

4.3 If the sprocket/chain drive is severely worn, it is advisable to replace both the sprocket and chain at the same time to ensure good meshing.

4.4 If a new sprocket is too long or elongated by use and is difficult to adjust, the chain links may be removed as appropriate, but must be an even number.

4.5 The sprocket/chain should be lubricated in time to improve the working condition and reduce wear;

4.6 New/old sprockets should not be mixed, if necessary, they should be replaced, otherwise they will be easily impacted in the transmission. If new/old sprockets are used together, it will aggravate the wear and tear.

4.7 When the machine is idle for a long time, the sprocket with the risk of rust should be removed and cleaned with kerosene or diesel oil, and then coated with machine oil or grease and stored in a dry place.
