1) Hot melt embedment is a commonly used embedment method. Most plastics use hot melt nuts. The installation method is generally to embed nails with a hot melt machine and a manual soldering iron. The principle is to heat the pressure head and contact it with the copper nut to increase the temperature of the copper nut. When the temperature reaches the softening temperature of the plastic itself, the nut is embedded in the plastic part, the pressure head is withdrawn, and after cooling, the copper nut and the plastic part are hot-melted into one.

2) Insert molding: The nut is embedded in the mold. After the plastic is injected, the rubber will wrap the outer wall of the nut. After cooling, it can be combined with the plastic part. This embedding method can obtain the best bonding strength.

3) Ultrasonic embedding is to use ultrasonic vibration to cause friction between the nut and the surface and internal molecules of the workpiece to increase the temperature transmitted to the interface. When the temperature reaches the softening temperature of the workpiece itself, the nut is embedded in the rubber part. When the vibration stops, the workpiece is cooled and shaped under a certain pressure.

4) Cold pressing refers to pressing the plastic directly without heating (at room temperature), which is relative to hot pressing (hot melting) nuts. The cold pressing process is mainly used to deal with occasions that are difficult to embed by hot melting or ultrasound, such as some thermosetting plastics, which cannot be melted or softened again after solidification.

5) Self-tapping nuts provide excellent pull-out resistance for plastic holes. The external threads are designed with thin profiles to minimize stress in the plastic and have relatively large spacing to provide the maximum plastic shear surface to resist pull-out. Mainly used in harder plastics such as PC or fiberglass, in order to prevent the hidden dangers of cracking or stress release after the nut is combined with the plastic, the use of self-tapping nuts is a good solution.

6) Expansion nut, which is characterized by grooves on the side, allowing it to deform elastically when pressed in. When the screw is screwed in, the side walls of the "expansion nut" are forced to flare outwards, forming a "bite" contact with the inner wall of the hole.
