1. Drilling

Use a suitable drill bit to drill the bottom hole, with a conical countersink of 80°~100°, and the drilling depth should be slightly greater than the length of the pin screw sleeve.

2. Tapping

Select a suitable tap to process the bottom hole thread according to the specifications of the external thread of the pin screw sleeve.

3. Screw into the bottom hole

Screw the pin screw sleeve by hand or with a special installation tool until it is slightly lower than the workpiece surface (0.25mm ~ 0.75mm). The fixed key pin here controls the depth.

4. Press in the latch key

Removal of the bolt sleeve

When the threaded hole formed by the latch screw sleeve is damaged due to long-term use and needs to be repaired, the latch screw sleeve can be removed first.

1. Drill off a portion of the bolt screw sleeve, the diameter of which should not be larger than the minor diameter of the external thread, and the drilling depth should be greater than or equal to the length of the bolt key.

2. Use a pointed tool to bend the bolt key inward (tap or bend it inward).

3. Use a broken wire extractor to reversely unscrew the bolt screw sleeve.

After removing the bolt screw sleeve in the above way, the thread bottom hole will not be damaged, and the thread of a new bolt screw sleeve will be the same as when it was newly installed.
